Episode 14: Pelvic Floor - What is it and Who has one
In this week’s episode of Form, Function, and Flow Lab I wanted to talk about pelvic floor – what is it and who has one. I will be giving a brief discussion about how it can be dysfunction to both men and women.
This podcast will talk more about the things that can cause issues in their pelvic floor as I point out that it’s not just caused by giving vaginal birth.
Episode Highlights:
- [2:19] What would cause issues in your pelvic floor
- [6:13] The symptoms that occur with pelvic floor dysfunction
- [9:30] The different ways to relax the pelvic floor
- [11:05] The changes you can make so your pelvic floor is not shortened
- [15:25] It’s not too late to start working on your symptoms
I created low back, pelvic floor, C-section, and diastasis recti courses and I am putting it out there soon. However, I want you to know that you can tap into these if you are ready to address your issues and have the time to commit to these programs. It’s a daily 30-minute program that you can do anytime you are available, but you have to commit to it so you can make the quality of your life better. You are important, too, and it is necessary to take that time for yourself again.
These will be released in October and I hope it helps you with the issues you want to fix. You can check out more about it here (link to the programs).
If you have any questions, you can drop it in the comment section or you send me a message through Facebook or Instagram. I’d be happy to do another podcast about your questions. Also, if you want me to talk about something specific, let me know!
You can also check my TikTok account as I use the platform to educate viewers about movement, chiropractic education, yoga, pregnancy, and more!
Thank you for listening and see you next week!
