CORE TO FLOOR RESTORATION
Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, Diastasis Recti, and C-section scar/Core Dysfunction
We often throw up on our hands and accept things that are common as normal. It is not normal to have leakage, prolapse, incontinence, pain with sex, diastasis recti, etc.
I take the approach towards pelvic floor and core rehab that incorporates a lot of concepts from Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Immaculate Dissection, Stop Chasing Pain, and countless other continuing ed resources.
In this line of thinking, we like to go least invasive FIRST. Sometimes jumping right into internal work for a pelvic floor/core problem or doing Kegels, can make the problem WORSE. If your pelvic floor is traumatized (birth, sexual assault, stress, etc.) it may be too tight. I find that it works best if we try to RELAX the area first, and Kegels will do the opposite of this if done without guidance. Internal work can also cause people to tighten up more from anxiety of having the area manipulated or pain from the work itself.

This course will go over the anatomy and biomechanics of the pelvic floor, I will provide you with:
- A way to assess yourself (pelvic floor dysfunction and diastasis recti) and keep track of the progress you are making.
- A day by day plan with videos to follow and walk you through the steps to reconnect with your core and pelvic floor. ** LESS THAN 30 MINUTES A DAY**
- Each day will consist of videos leading you through:
- Breath work - “SPOILER ALERT” the pelvic floor and diaphragm (breathing muscle) are INTIMATELY tied together and you can’t address on without the other.
- Scar mobilization (if you have one) – Don’t be scared off by this. I start you off super slowly and you can even start mobilizing your scars without touching them at all at first
- Mobility exercises – A supple torso helps with better breathing and better core activation.
- Core activation exercises – Stop thinking of your core as your six pack and think of it as your entire torso.
- The daily “workout” or rather self-investment will be about 30 minutes.
- I will teach you how to alter some of your daily habits to help with your core connection and pelvic floor dysfunction.
- You will get to be a member of my private Facebook group to be able to use the community as a resource. This is where I will address and answer questions on Fridays.
